Concrete & Masonry Grinding

Surface preparation and material removal on concrete and masonry requires the right grinding tool for the job. Whether you are levelling a concrete floor before tiling, removing paint or adhesive from a surface, profiling a masonry wall, or preparing concrete for a coating or sealant, the tools in this range give you controlled, efficient grinding performance.

Vus Cutting Technology supplies diamond grinding heads, cup grinders, and grinding wedges suitable for use on angle grinders and floor grinding machines across a variety of concrete and masonry applications.

Product Guide

250mm Floor Grinding Head

Designed for floor grinding machines, the 250mm Floor Grinding Head is used for large-area concrete surface preparation — levelling high spots, removing laitance, and preparing slabs for coatings, epoxy, or polished concrete finishes. The multi-segment design provides aggressive material removal while maintaining a flat grinding pattern.

Diamond Turbo Cup Grinder

The Diamond Turbo Cup Grinder is designed for aggressive grinding on hard concrete and masonry. The turbo segment profile increases airflow during grinding, reducing heat build-up and improving dust clearance — making it well-suited to extended use or fast stock removal.

Diamond Grinding Wedges

Diamond grinding wedges are segment inserts used on floor grinding machines and scarifiers. They are ideal for removing thick surface contaminants such as old adhesive, paint, and hardened coatings from concrete floors, and for light scarification before new floor coverings are laid.

Applications

  • Concrete floor levelling and surface preparation
  • Removal of old paint, adhesive, epoxy, and coatings from concrete
  • Scarification and profiling of concrete slabs before overlay or coating
  • Surface preparation for polished concrete projects
  • Masonry wall profiling and mortar removal
  • General concrete grinding and smoothing on construction sites

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a cup grinder and a floor grinding head?

Cup grinders are hand-held tools that fit on a standard angle grinder. They are best for smaller areas, edges, and detail work. The 250mm floor grinding head is designed for walk-behind floor grinding machines and covers large flat areas much faster than a hand-held tool.

Can these tools be used on tile or granite?

These products are designed for concrete and masonry. For grinding granite, marble, or tile, use the products in our Granite & Marble Polishing Products range.
